Hard Work Pays Off in Trophy Fish!

The Paul Dawley party had to put in some hard work, but the day resulted in some nice trophy fish for his grandsons. The rough waters of Lake Ontario pretty much dictated where the Milky Way could go to fish with planer boards for the Walleye, but the catch of the day included a trophy 11 1/4 lb. Walleye that Paul's grandson, Jim, hauled aboard.

P.D., another of Paul's grandsons, also got to reel in a nice bass and Jim added another trophy catch to his resume, a Smallmouth tipping the scales at 4 1/2 pounds! Although it seemed like a long day of difficult fishing in rough seas, the time and effort by all paid off in the catching of some really big fish! Great job of fishing, guys!

  • Great Day on Lake Brings Great Day of Fishing!

On Friday, July 18th, Milky Way Fishing Charters ran a charter for Captain Scott Lennox. The lake started out pretty choppy in the morning but settled down which is pretty normal for the variety of seas the lake can offer. On the same note, the lake can produce a variety of fish as proven on this day of fishing.

  • Two-Day Mixed Bag of Weather Produces Nice Bag of Fish!

After working on a 2-day multiple boat charter for Saiff Charters, the fishermen got to experience both the good and bad of Lake Ontario.  Saturday, July 12th, was a beautiful sunny calm day out on the Lake while Sunday, July 13th, served up wind, rain and continuous 4-5 foot waves with 6 footers towards the end of the afternoon.
